Seven Cities Rickshaws

We are a progressive, privately owned and operated rickshaw company who began in the summer of 2006, as Cool Runnings Rickshaws, in the small beach town of Sandbridge, a neighborhood in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

For us, biking is an enjoyable outdoor activity, and after taking several trips to visit friends in other cities, we began to see a trend amongst the downtown scenes: RICKSHAWS. We thought, “How cool is this?” There are people biking around AND getting paid to do it. Not to mention they were having fun, getting to know lots of different people and offering an environmentally friendly form of transportation. Sounds like the perfect job for the outgoing, physically active and eco-conscious person. Oh, hey... that’s US! So we pulled a couple strings and two bikes later with summer time approaching, there we were biking around on our new matching rickshaws. Turning heads, making people laugh, riding around and adding to the character of town.

What is a Rickshaw?
You might ask, “So what is a Rickshaw?” Well... A Rickshaw, also known as a ‘Pedicab’, is a large tricycle, fully equipped with a mountain bike frame, eighteen gears, traditional-style bicycle seat for the peddler and most importantly a bench seat area for passengers directly behind the peddler's seat. We prefer to call the driver the “peddler” since, essentially, the driver is peddling the bike. We are a “unique” cab service.

Why Ride with Seven Cities Rickshaw?
Picture this, you and your family are wet and cold and you have two minutes to get to the play. What would you do? You would holler for a rickshaw, of course. That’s right a rickshaw. You're in luck. Seven Cities Rickshaws are your ticket. They are located in Town Center in the heart of Virginia Beach. They will pick you up and transport you on time to your entertainment choice for the night. They know where the restaurants and hot spots are and can get you back to your car in no time. Fun and knowledgeable people at your service.

Hours of Operation:
Monday through Thursday 7pm to midnight
Friday through Saturday 7pm to 2am
Rates: $2.00 Per Person + Gratuity.
